The Company was originally formed at the end of the 19th
century as BETTS BROTHERS. This was a firm
which contracted their services to local businesses e.g. dredging the
local rivers, threshing corn and baling straw for the local farmers. The
company then disbanded and the Betts brothers went their own way.
William Henry Betts however continued the threshing business until his
death in 1954. His son Ernest Gordon Betts continued the company and
progressed into lorries to deliver the straw around the country e.g. the Royal Mews at
Buckingham Palace was one very thought of customer. This continued until
his death in 1989. His son Martin Henry Betts now Managing Director has
continued the company into the Bulk Tipper firm of today, with a
dedicated fleet of 15 x 44 tonne bulk tipper vehicle's carrying
mainly cereals from local farms around the country."We are Determined to expand
the business way into the new millennium" says Martin “We like to think we are a
forward thinking company and like to consider all haulage opportunities
whether they be at home or abroad"
